Ipswich

Built for Speed Exhibit

Ipswich Art Gallery

Children of all ages can select from thousands of LEGO pieces to build a hot rod, dragster or supercar. Creations can be raced down ramps of varying sizes, then modified (or completely re-built) for extra speed or strength. These activities are offered over two floors of the building, allowing for use by multiple families.

Other activities include an arts and crafts station for children to make “winner” ribbons and the screening of a LEGO / construction themed film.

Upon entry, there is also a large room with a series of ramps, tracks and obstacles. Children can manipulate materials to race model cars in a variety of experiences.

Cost is $5 per person, $15 for a Family Pass. Bookings are not required.


Switch Bricks Holiday Workshops

8-13 January, 9am-12pm or 1-4pm daily

Sacred Heart School

(25 Cothill Road, Booval)

Children can enjoy three hours of access to freestyle Lego, Duplo, Lego displays, mosaics dramatic play area and marble maze.

Additional activities include a jumping castle and craft station.

An allocated eating area and onsite coffee van will be available for supervising adults.

Cost per session: $5 (children 1-3 years), $10 (children 4-14 years). Adults and older youth accompanying siblings are free.
