The Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree

6:30pm, 1 December, online event

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner will turn on the 22m-high Christmas tree’s twinkling lights, accompanied by two special Christmas musical performances.

The Brisbane Christmas Tree will be on display for festive selfies.

Studio Village Community Carols

6:30-8:00pm, 4 December, Studio Park (87 Village Way, Studio Village)

Enjoy an evening of free Christmas carols, featuring Santa, Rudolph, Frosty and his favourite elf.

Attendance will be limited to the first 640 people.

Gold Lotto City Hall Lights (Multiple Dates)

7:30-12:00pm daily, 4-24 December, Brisbane City Hall

Wonder at glistening ice castles and Santa’s buzzing workshop animated against the Brisbane City Hall façade. This free show will be displayed every 15 minutes during operational hours.

Christmas On Queen (Multiple Dates)

11:00am-2:00pm daily, 4-24 December, Queen Street Mall

Enjoy pop-up performances and roaming entertainment throughout Queen Street Mall. Entertainment will also be held from 5-8:00pm during late night trade.

Enchanted Garden (Multiple Dates)

6:30-9:30pm, 4 December 2020 to 17 January 2021, Roma Street Parkland

See Roma Street Parkland light up with more than 40,000 fairy lights, hanging crystal curtains, neon butterflies and laser gardens.

A selection of food and drink vendors will be onsite from 5pm at the Celebration Lawn.

Attendees must pre-register for a free ticket.

Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols

4:00pm, 5 December, Riverstage (Brisbane Botanic Gardens)

Hosted by Charli Robinson, see Brisbane’s best entertainers perform beloved Christmas carols.

Featuring Dami Im, Mirusia, Graeme Issako, Murphy’s Pigs and Queensland Chamber Orchestra.

2020 Mayor’s Virtual Christmas Carols

6:00pm, 5 December, online event

Watch an impressive line-up of headline acts from previous Mayor’s Christmas Carols events. This includes Casey Barnes, David Campbell, Kate Ceberano, Anthony Callea, Emma Pask, Christine Anu, Katie Noonan, Luke Kennedy and Paulini.

North Burleigh Carols By The Sea

4:00-8:00pm, 10 December, Ed Hardy Park (The Esplanade, Miami)

Enjoy children’s activities, food trucks and markets from 4pm to 6pm. This will be followed by Christmas stage entertainment including carols and live music.

Stage Entertainment Area will require a ticket.

Christmas Wonderland (Multiple Dates)

From 7:00pm daily, 11-22 December, Nerima Gardens (Merle Finimore Ave, Ipswich)

A spectacular lighting display with stunning illuminated trees, glittering lights and much more.

Tickets are essential for contact tracing purposes. All proceeds raised will be donated to local charities.

December 12

Christmas Show and Movie Night

5:00-8:30pm, 12 December, Beenleigh Town Square

A free Christmas-themed event for the whole family. Enjoy interactive retro games on the big screen, Christmas Show with Santa, Rudolph and Frosty,

food and drink vendors and an outdoor screening of animated film “Arthur Christmas.”

Christmas Lights Trail (Multiple Dates)

7:00-9:00pm daily, 12-20 December, Berrinba Wetlands (Wayne Goss Drive, Browns Plains)

The Billabong Circuit trail at Berrinba Wetlands will be transformed into a dazzling lighting display with music. The event will also feature food trucks and fun activities, including a free children’s augmented reality snow slinging game.

Two free sessions will be held daily (7-8pm and 8-9pm). Bookings are essential.

Carols by the Lake

4:00-8:00pm, 12 December, The Promenade, Robina Town Centre

Free event with live music, kids’ activities, roving entertainment, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa.

Live performances of over 30 local artists singing original tunes and cheerful Christmas covers.

Kids Craft & Storytelling

4:00-8:45pm daily, 18- 23 December, Flowstate Lawns (South Bank)

Children will create wombat crowns and listen to Santa’s elves reciting stories.

Tickets essential for Flowstate activities, booths will open one hour prior at Flowstate.

Santa’s Stopover

4:00-9:30pm daily, 18- 23 December, Flowstate (South Bank)

See Mr and Mrs Claus spread cheer from their sleigh.

Snap your own (socially distanced) picture with Santa, set amongst a magnificent towering fig tree and light installation.
