JJ Smith Park
JJ Smith Park
JJ Smith Park features two sheltered playgrounds at opposite ends of an expansive open grassy area.
The larger playground caters for children of all ages and abilities, with climbing forts, slides, suspension bridge, rock climbing wall and swing set. The smaller playground is most suitable for children 6 years and younger. It has a small climbing fort with slide and swing set with toddler seat. Both playgrounds feature brightly coloured shade sails and a sandy floor.
The park also offers a basketball court, which is used by many local children each afternoon.
Scrubby Creek extends along the rear of the parklands. An observatory deck provides views of the water and its resident birdlife species.
A wide concrete cycling path travels throughout the park, connecting to the Slacks Creek cycleway and providing access across the creek.
There are several picnic shelters, barbeques and a toilet block. A small carpark is located beside the smaller playground.
Wide concrete pathways are wheelchair and pram-friendly
