Logan River Parklands
Logan River Parklands
Logan River Parklands is very popular with local families. It offers generously sized playgrounds, all abilities play equipment, bike paths, numerous gazebos, toilets and river views!
The large park is set back from the road with ample parking. There are two eye-catching play areas, both are sheltered by brightly coloured sails and feature soft-fall surfaces. The larger playground features several structures that allow for climbing and swinging, a swing set with toddler swing, double see-saw and slide. The most striking piece of equipment is a large netted tunnel.
The second play area features a fort with climbing nets, slide and various pieces of tactile play equipment. Behind this are recessed trampolines and sensory play equipment that allows children to create their own music.
These sensory play pieces are both accessible and positioned at heights suitable for visitors requiring the use of a wheelchair. Logan River Parklands is also home to a fully-fenced all-abilities Liberty swing.
A wide concrete path runs parallel to the river and connects to local cycleway routes.
There are several picnic shelters with table and chairs located near the playground. This placement easily allows for active supervision of children's parties or family outings. Alternatively, there are additional gazebos positioned well away from the playgrounds. These are ideal for visitors seeking a quieter environment. Barbeques are spread throughout the grounds, accommodating for multiple groups of people.
Finally, a centrally located toilet block incorporates disability-friendly facilities.
Logan River Parklands can be quite busy during the weekends and school holiday periods. Therefore, it is advisable to arrive early if you plan to set up for a party or community event.
