Cedar Creek Falls
76 Cedar Creek Falls Road, Tamborine Mountain
Cedar Creek travels through an impressive gorge with multiple cascades and rock pools. An easy 500m trail extends from the onsite carpark to a viewing platform overlooking a waterfall. This particular section is suitable for pram and wheelchair access
From the lookout, visitors can descend through the eucalypt forest to wade in the rock pools below (1.1kms return). Please be advised that this track contains several sections of stairs – it is therefore not suitable for prams or wheelchairs.
This spot is popular with families ass it offers toilet facilities, picnic shelters and room to spread out.
Tamborine Botanic Gardens
Forsythia Drive, Tamborine Mountain
Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens boasts a dedicated interactive children’s walk, known as the Sooty Owl Creekside Trail. This journey winds through dense forest with variouss sensory installations, including owl cubby, crooked water mill, water pump, stepping stone pathway and musical structures.

Thunderbird Park

Thunderbird Park is absolutely crammed with family-friendly thrills and experiences. These include:
Treetop Challenge (high ropes, ziplines and a junior course)
Dig It (operate real excavator machinery and enjoy construction-inspired activities)
Thunderegg Mine (obtain a miner’s permit, borrow a pick and bucket and dig for your own thundereggs)
Crystal panning (purchase a bag of sand, borrow a panning tray and sift the sand through running water to extract your treasures)
Mini Golf (three holes per green to allow for varied abilities)

Bird feeding (rainbow lorikeets are fed 2pm daily)

Curtis Falls is approximately 1.5kms return from the Dapsang Drive carpark. Children will be fascinated by the towering trees with impressive root structures and hollows.
An observation deck offers unobstructed views of the waterfall, rock pools and basalt rock face. Due to the resident glow-worm population, swimming is not prohibited. You may, however, be fortunate to see a platypus!
Skywalk
333 Geissmann Drive, Mout Tamborine
Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the rainforest by walking across 300m of steel bridges through the canopy. The highlight of this attraction is a 40m bridge that sits 30m above the creek and rainforest.

Glow Worm Caves
104-144 Hartley Road, North Tamborine
Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves offer guided tours through the scenic rainforest and within their purpose-built caves. Visitors can view thousands of these glowing creatures and learn more about their characteristics and life cycle.
A second attraction, Frog Hollow, houses up to 10 different frog species.
Dine in at their restaurant overlooking the lake or enjoy a picnic on their grassy area.

Gallery Walk
Gallery Walk is a hive of activity, boasting over 70 shopping, artistic and dining experiences. Highlights for children include Granny Mac’s Fabulous Fudge, Mumma Duck’s Rock Candy and Chocolates on Gallery Walk. If you can trust your children not to touch, they will also be fascinated with the Cuckoo Clock Shop!
Picnic at Hang Gliders Tamborine Mountain

Spread out a picnic blanket and admire the surrounding views. Weather dependent, families can also watch hang gliders and paragliders taking off and soaring through air.
Tamborine Mountain State School Markets
Corner of Long & Curtis Roads, Tamborine Mountain
Support the local school by visiting their popular market, held on last Sunday of each month, 7am-1pm. Hosted by the school’s P&F, these monthly markets feature over 130 stalls selling arts and crafts, fresh produce, handmade items, crystals, bric-a-brac and more.
Tamborine Diner
1/12 Main Western Road, Mount Tamborine
This 1950s American themed diner is locally renowned for their foot long hot dogs, generously sized burgers and freshly made pizzas.
If you’re looking for an extra special treat, you can’t you past their fancy looking “Dina Shakes” – a beautifully presented tray with a milkshake, two scoops of ice-cream, waffle cones and an assortment of biscuits, lollies etc (item selection varies).
Piano Rock
Finally, make ssure to spot the locally renowned “Piano Rock” as you travel up and down the mountain!
