The Backyard, Westfield Coomera

"The Backyard," located within Westfield Coomera is a fabulous outdoor play space for children under 8 years. It offers an adventure playground, various sensory play equipment and water play features. There's even an onsite coffee kiosk with a shaded dining area!

Playground

Children of all ages will enjoy the main playground structure, a tower with climbing nets and enclosed slide. A nearby nest swing is perhaps the most popular playground feature. Other equipment includes recessed trampolines and a round-about.

A dedicated sensory zone provides play opportunities for younger children. A large hollow log structure houses musical equipment, sound tubes, surfaces of varied textures, artwork and cubby. There is also a climbing mound with tunnel.

Water Play

Water trickles along a man-made creek bed, accumulating in a very shallow body of water. An assortment of interactive water play features includes fountains, pumps and a water wheel.

Partial shading is provided by material sails. Groups of deck chairs are positioned throughout the venue, allowing parents to relax whilst actively supervising their children. Picnic shelters and electric barbecues are ideally located on the outskirts of the playground. This gives groups of people the opportunity to extend their visit with a picnic or celebrate special occasions.
