Alexander Clark Park
Alexander Clark Park
The WOW factor of the recently upgraded Alexander Clark Park is clearly the massive koala play structure! Children can play underneath, climb through the inside chamber and slide down this striking installation. Several smaller native animal sculptures have been positioned throughout the playground. Another popular addition is the children's water play area. Little explorers will be entertained by water pumps, small tipping buckets and a moat - there's even little floodgates for children to manipulate the water course. From above, light sprays of water are released from the top of the totems, some of the rocks and two large archways. Even better, parents can supervise from the comfort of nearby wooden deck chairs.
The design of Alexander Clark Park cleverly incorporates inclusive play equipment such as a dual flying fox and multiple bay swing set with wheelchair friendly seating option. A parent and child facing swing provides further opportunities for guests of all ages / abilities to enjoy the playground.
A lengthy looped cycle track is located behind the playground, along with two smaller learn to ride tracks. Both of these offer obstacles and mock street signage / road markings.
Sporting facilities include a new basketball court, gym equipment and a disc golf course. The grounds also boast river access with a pontoon, multiple barbecues / picnic shelters, toilets and a car park.
