The children's adventure pool at Bundamba Swim Centre offers a variety of aquatic play equipment, suitable for children under the age of 10 years. It offers multiple play sections and a well-shaded picnic area that is popular with visiting families.
The children's adventure pool offers three separate play sections. The first features a circular pool with a slight whirlpool current. Although there are steps along part of the pool edge, the pool itself is rather deep and better suited to more capable swimmers. Alternatively, children of all abilities can use a flotation device and simply drift along with the flow of water. Various water squirters and a waterfall shower provide further amusement.
The main splash pool is shallow with beach-style entry. It incorporates a small slide, mushroom-shaped showers and buckets that collect and dump water. This particular section is well shaded by a large material shade.
A much smaller pool features little puddles of water gathered in "rock pools," water squirters and a waterfall shower with very gentle flow. This is ideal for babies and toddlers as they can independently use the area and gain a sense of achievement.
The children's adventure pool is positioned by a large, shaded rest area, equipped with tables and a BBQ. The on-site kiosk is very limited with food choices, serving mainly drinks, lollies and ice-blocks. We generally bring a packed lunch from home and treat the children to an ice block.
