Capalaba Produce, Pets and Plants

Capalaba Produce, Pets, Plants is a family-friendly venue with over 60 years of operation. Visitors can seek advice or browse through an array of plants, pet supplies and farming produce.

Children will particularly enjoy visiting “Ted’s Corner” - a small onsite farm setting with chickens, ducks, goats, pigs, ponies and alpacas. Whilst guests are not permitted to enter the enclosures, these friendly animals often come to fence for some affection. If you want to increase your chances of patting the animals, small bags of animal feed can be purchased from the nursery (gold coin each).

This is a great set-up! If the animals are feeling overwhelmed or not in the mood for interaction, they can simply walk away and seek solitude. It's also ideal for introducing young children (or those who may be fearful) to farm animals.

Extend your visit by enjoying a treat from the onsite cafe Kiwi Fine Foods. They sell hot and cold beverages, ice-creams, baked goods and various New Zealand product lines.
