Free Children’s Classes / Activity Programs

The City of Logan offers an abundance of free activity programs for children 0-5 years. Many of these are indoor – so the rainy weather won’t interfere your plans!

Below are some recommendations for free indoor classes.

Monday

Sing & Grow Music Program

Mondays, 10:00am, The Family Place

Join Lisa for a morning of movement and music. Enjoy singing, playing with instruments and various forms of sensory play (ribbons, parachutes etc).

Bookings not required.

 

First 5 Forever

Mondays, 9:00-11:00am, Family and Community Place, Yarrabilba

Weekly playgroup with a dedicated toddler session (9:30-10am) and a Wriggle and Rhyme session (10:15-11am, suitable for children 2-5 years). These are hosted by the First 5 Forever program.

Bookings not required.

Tuesday

Making Rainbows

Tuesdays, 9:30 and 10:30am, Logan Central Plaza
 
Enjoy a free music, movement and sensory mini class while the bigger kids are at school! Hosted by Making Rainbows: Brisbane, best suited for children up to 4 years of age.
 
Bookings not required but class sizes are limited. Please arrive 10 minutes early to secure your place.
 

 

Learn ‘n’ Play

Tuesdays, 10-10:45am, Hyperdome

Let the Kreative Fairies entertain your child with a range of activities, including singing, dancing and story time.

Bookings essential, one adult permitted with each child ticket.

 

Music with Anne

Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30am, Woodridge North Community Hub (Woodridge North State School)

A free music session is held during this weekly playgroup setting. Music with Anne provides opportunities for children to self-express and develops communication, listening and motor skills

Bookings not required.

 

Playgroup with Musical Therapy Session

Tuesdays, 9:00-11:00am, St Francis Community Hub (St Francis College)

Children can engage with music during this weekly playgroup setting.

Bookings not required.

 

Wednesday

Let’s Move

3:15-1:15pm, Browns Plains Early Years Centre

Children up to 8 years of age can participate in this after-school music and movement class.

Thursday

Children can enjoy light physical fitness activities during this weekly playgroup setting. A visiting Occupational Therapist (each fortnight) can help with assessments and any developmental concerns.

A simple program encouraging physical fitness is held during this weekly playgroup setting.
