Curtis Falls Trail
Curtis Falls Trail
The Joalah Section of Mount Tamborine National Park is a great spot for family friendly exploration.
When accessed from Dapsang Drive (Tamborine), the Curtis Falls trail is an easy 1.5km return walk. The trail and signage are well-maintained and should pose no difficulties for visitors of average fitness levels.
Venture into the cool rainforest and be amazed by trees of great heights, with impressive root structures and interesting hollows.
Upon reaching Curtis Falls, a wide observation deck allows for multiple groups of people to appreciate its beauty. The cool water flows down a basalt rock face into a rock pool below. Swimming in this section is not permitted due to playtpus sightings and resident glow worms.
Keen hikers may choose to continue along the adjoining Lower Creek Circuit (an additional 2.5kms return)
There are two entry points to this track. A toilet and large vehicle parking is available at the Dapsang Drive entrance, whilst a cafe is situated at the Eagle Heights Drive entrance.
