Purling Brook Falls
Purling Brook Falls
The Purling Brook Falls circuit (Springbrook National Park) offers spectacular views of the region, stunning waterfalls and a beautiful rainforest setting.
The 4km return trail is best walked in a clockwise direction, leading firstly to the Western Lookout. Visitors will be treated to views of Purling Brook Falls, located on the other side of a deep gorge. The trail crosses over Tanninaba Falls before descending into the gorge to view both of the falls from below. This trail may be difficult for younger children, with a combination of dirt tracks and several sections of stairs (265 in total).
At the base of Purling Brook Falls, visitors can divert along the Warringa Pool track or pause to admire the 100m waterfall flow into the rock pools. Please note that the trail leading around behind the base of the waterfall is no longer accessible. Despite this, the sheer cliffs and beauty of the waterfall are worth the trek.
A suspension bridge crosses the water and the trail continues with a steady climb to the Eastern Lookout and back to the starting point.
