Albert River Park
Albert River Park
Visitors of all ages will be delighted by a brightly coloured, multi-level playground at Albert River Park (Eagleby).
Completed in 2020, the playground features a series of impressive sky cabins (connected by a sky bridge) and a large observation tower. Both structures are accessed by climbing nets or ladders and feature their own enclosed slide. Tactile play equipment has been provided at the ground level for younger or less capable children.
Shade sails have been erected over the playground, with additional shading provided by the tall trees. Supervising parents have also been considered with the inclusion of wooden sun loungers, tables and shelters within close vicinity of the playground. Nearby is a 20m flying fox and an outdoor table tennis structure.
An older playground remains but now sports a matching bright yellow facade. This play equipment is more suitable for younger children, consisting of several smaller play forts with slides, climbing nets, swingset and rockers.
The vast grounds of Albert River Park allow for a basketball court, skate park, open grassy spaces and extensive walking/cycling tracks. Visitors can enjoy occasional glimpses of the adjacent river, with easy access provided for interested explorers.
There are onsite toilets, multiple picnic gazebos and barbeques. Unfortunately, parking is very limited.
Wheelchair and pram-friendly concrete pathways.
