Roma Street Parklands
Roma Street Parklands
Roma Street Parkland offers multiple play and educational opportunities for children. Whether you plan to walk or ride bikes / scooters, children will love exploring the different gardens. There's a mixture of wide concrete pathways, boardwalk style tracks and bridges - you may even feel a cool mist or light splash from trickling creeks.
Children's Playground
The Children's Garden features a brightly coloured sensory trail that encourages children to make observations of their surroundings. There are also various musical garden installations and structures.
Playgrounds
A playground for younger children offers a gazebo and climbing fort with slides, suspension bridges, a carousel and various nature play elements. Attentive children will be delighted by the discovery of "secret entry" points (accessing equipment via garden pathways or from higher ground etc).
A second playground caters for older or more capable children. A series of elevated cubby houses are accessed by climbing nets and interconnected with a suspension rope bridge and netted skywalk tunnel. A slide and wall climbing features are embedded within the contours of the landscape. In addition to shade from the surrounding gardens, this playground also boasts material shade sails.
Of course, no trip is complete without a stroll around the lake with its stunning fountains.
There are several car parking areas, however they do require payment.
