Berrinba Wetlands
Berrinba Wetlands
Berrinba Wetlands boast 80 hectares of wetlands. There are approximately 8kms of tracks through open parkland and bush, making it an ideal destination for bushwalking, cycling or wildlife spotting. The wide concrete paths provide easy access for prams and wheelchairs. A large viewing deck and the inclusion of five bridges allow for safe observation of the waterways. In particular, the children love to spot water birds, turtles, eels and fish.
There are two playground areas, both of which are covered by shade sails. One playground is a climbing structure with a sandy base and the other is a collection of separate pieces of play equipment with a rubber matting base. A nest swing and large flying fox are positioned towards the start of the bushwalking/cycling trails.
Facilities at Berrinba Wetlands include a large educational shelter and modern toilet with handicapped access. Beside this, a large entertaining area (with attached kitchen and dining furniture) is available for hire.
There are multiple gazebos, electric barbecues and ample parking.
